Bula Vinaka Sisters and Brothers,

We’re considered to be the youngest “LIONS” in the Pride because we’re in the 2010-2018 decade; but nonetheless we will join our seniors and rise up!

I am one of the reps for the 2010 decade along with Zahoor Shah and Nelly Julie Damudamu (Julies Red) (2001-2004) who has willingly come on board to help us, so thank you Julies!!

Being the youngest in the pride we experienced quite a few shifts during our time at Grammar.

We were the Coke Games Boys defending champions for 5 straight years and everyone envied our cheerleaders! Sports was a strong feature in our decade. We had the most number of Forms 3, 4 & 6 streams (301-308 & 401-408 and even 601-609) and our academic results were affected.

These setbacks did not deter us – and we have continued to fight on and rise to the occasion like the lions we are. We were the first school to have a fully sponsored school trip to Israel, for a Leadership and Capacity Building Training; what an experience that was!

As much as we smile at what the past looked like for us as Grammarians, and knowing how it has shaped us to the men and women we are today; we also now look to the future to make the school greater for a new generation.

We have yet to meet as a decade to discuss projects and initiatives - or how we can serve our school and her current students better. We will try to do this as soon as possible (after the 2010 reps meet then we’ll set up a date and let you all know).

It’s up to us to make what we desire and hope for our school a reality and we look forward to your support.

Looking forward to Grammar Rise Up!
